Jumping into the Digital Humanities

A few months ago, the kind folks at the Georgia Library Association asked me if I would give a webinar on digital humanities for librarians as part of their Carterette series. I opted to do a sort of “top 5 tools/methods” approach. You can view the archived webinar here:

In the intervening months, I’ve had a chance to read Miriam Posner’s “No Half Measures: Overcoming Challenges to Doing Digital Humanities in the Library,” in the Journal of Library Administration, and it raises a number of fantastic points about the infrastructure needed for DH projects. If you have access, drop what you’re doing and read it.
